GNUmed goes Alluro. Well not quite. Alluro goes GNUmed. That's right. HILBROS ( www.hilbros.de ) is a business I started that aims at making GNUmed available to collegues in Germany. While Open Source is nice it is no selling bonus. So until that happens GNUmed will have to compete with other vendors in a traditional setting. To protect GNUmed from business issues I will provide it to customers under the name Alluro. Alluro is a name for the platform that will serve as a foundation for a product line.

First products available will be AlluroMed and AlluroPhysio. The Alluro product line is available with full support, updates, documentation and training. GNUmed compatibility is one of the goals but Alluro will adhere to official regulations that might not mix well with FOSS.

GNUmed wird Alluro. Naja nicht ganz. Alluro wird GNUmed. So stimmt es. HILBROS ( www.hilbros.de ) ist eine Firma, die gegründet wurde, um GNUmed deutschen Kollegen zugänglich zu machen. Obgleich offene Software Vorteile hat, ein Verkaufsargument ist das nicht. Und solange das so ist muss GNUmed im traditionellen Umfeld mit den Mitbewerbern interagieren. Um GNUmed aus der Geschäftswelt herauszuhalten wird HILBROS Alluro anbieten. Alluro ist der Name für eine Plattform, die als Basis für eine Produktlinie dienen soll.

Die ersten verfügbaren Produkte sind AlluroMed and AlluroPhysio. Die Alluroproduktlinie ist komplett mit Support, Updates, Dokumentation und Training verfügbar. Kompatibilität zu GNUmed ist weiter ein Ziel aber Alluro wird sich an Gesetzlichkeiten halten müssen, die mit quelloffener Software nur schlecht vereinbar sind.
